@members Let us know if you (and your friends) can come to the Christmas/Winter Festival/Workshops Working celebration (we need to know how much free food and drink to line up!)

This will be from 3pm til late! Family friendly games and making from 3pm, food at 6. ‘After Party’ from then on!!!

@Ana_Nieto @StudioNelle @SarahJ @pip met with other comers-and-goers after the member’s meeting to make a plan and delegate tasks.

This is a for-members party. Non-members are welcome, but we won’t be advertising. This means we can try and attract peripheral members with introductions to the space / tools as well as do fun things ourselves. And we don’t need to market for new members given recent sign-up rates!

The party needs to be announced.

  • Poster in space
  • Animated GIF for social media
  • Email newsletter to members
  • Update thread with sign-ups
  • Info
    • Family time 3-6
    • Food at 6
    • Extra rations of punch from then on
    • ?

The party needs kit.

The space needs to be ready

  • Clear stuff out of the clean room
    • Architects board etc.
  • Perhaps just buy some electronics benches to have things stashed away properly by then?

The party needs provisions.

  • Secret maker
    • What to do for people who didn’t sign up? Pass the parcel charity tat?
  • Make christmas tree, e.g. this
    • White corrogated cardboard, e.g. this

I have put a box of hat and jumper trimmings & decorations in the snug next to the present shelf. We still need

Needles big enough to thread with wool
Green felt
More sparkly stuff.

If anyone has any of those things please bring them along. And if you want to, don’t forget to bring a plain hat or jumper or some kind of garment to decorate!

The Calendar item is showing up a bit weirdly on the homepage - looks like an electronics night with a strange name…

Tried to update it in the calendar, but doesn’t seem to have refreshed.

Me too. Having just been granted the access I made the calendar entry to be the same as the mailshot / blog etc.

my issues might be because I tried to edit it in iCal, which seems only to bother syncing once in a blue moon.
