End grain chopping boards

I’m down! aaaand unfortunately I’m not inducted on the above mentioned tools. seems like we are on the same page with Rob
I was thinking of more of a checkered pattern or the inverse of your second design (maple on the inside dark strips on the sides, but i guess the cost might be a little bit higher)
But hey! you’ve gone so far out of your way to accommodate this workshop/ build that I’d be happy with anything really!

Exciting! Of the above tools I’m only greenlit on the tracksaw.

@Maciej
I’m happy to help you modify the design a little while making it’s at this point y want thinking that fro the price I will provide you with some 2 inch think walnut and 1 inch thick maple. From there we can look at a few designs.

What I need to know is that if I order and collect wood, who wants in on the order, with the order we can do the sessions.

@oddstag did you also want in on this

At this point in time (until I go to the lumber yard) the best I can give you is that the course with materials ect. Will not cost more than £100 and you will have everything you need to make a ~400 X 250 X 50mm (or there abouts) if I can get a good amount of wood cheaper I will pass that on. i’m not really looking at including any charge for my time in this, nice wood is just expensive

I need to know who is in on the above so I can purchase the wood ready for next week.

You do deserve something! please include that!

Potentially! Are the times/dates locked in?

At this point in time it’s 3 nights next week (if you can’t make all 3 I can look to do extra the next week)

  • I am hoppy paying up to £100 for materials and the 3 lessons
  • I am happy for materials to be purchased this week
  • I can do Monday the 5th 6pm
  • I can do Tuesday the 6th 6pm
  • I can do Wednesday the 7th 6pm
  • I can do Thursday the 8th 6pm
  • I can do Monday the 12th 6pm
  • I can do Tuesday the 13th 6pm
  • I can do Wednesday the 14th 6pm

It would be good to do them close together so we are not taking up too much room in the woodshop if we can agree on everything here I will arrange the wood ready for Monday and we can get started

@Maciej @Oddstag it seems you both have tho correct availability but aren’t happy for materials to be purchased, we can’t do the course with out the wood.

How do you want to approach this?

If we agree soon enough I can look in the 5th, 12th & 13th as it’s 3 days that line up

Hi Paul, I’ll bow out for now. Nothing against the materials, just struggling to piece together the childcare for next week. Best of luck!

If you want, once the board is glued up you can inlay whatever you want on the big cnc…

This is exactly what I want to see

@Maciej the purpose of this course is to teach how to laminate multiple layers, this is why we are doing 2 glue ups to show the two types we can do to make this and how to succeed. With the skills you learn in these lesson you should be able to go forth and make any end grain board you want

It’s too late to order/get wood for next week so we can’t do next week

Pretty easy and we have the tools required

of course!! Was just joking! This is waaaaaaaaay out of our reach for now

I think once you’ve done this course that could be o nice next attempt  the reason we’re doing two laminations is so that I can go over making more complex design’s
