Rubbish out front

Can we get rid of the rubbish out front?

Can we use the hippo skip we bought? @Dermot

It does t seem like we’ll get rid of the stuff anytime soon. Vans can’t use the recycle centre and the bags and pretty grim to put in cars.

Tbis could be down on the weekend

The HippoSkip has a lot more capacity than the ten (?) or so bags out front. It would be profligate to use the bag for that.

However, there must be tonnes of stuff in the snug to get rid of…? Or is there?

If there isn’t more rubbish then I’ll take it to the dump in the van. £75 min charge IIRC. But it will be done!

Come to think of it, what about AnyJunk or companies like that? There was a thread with all the rubbish options in it somewhere

AnyJunk costs:
£84 - 1yd
£108 - 2yd
£150 - 4yd
£216 - 7yd
£276 - 10yd
£348 - 14yd

Loads of crap potentially in the snug…

Thanks Pete.

The HippoSkip works well for light and bulky.

Now we’ve (actually Paul) dealt with the timber issue it starts to look pricey.

Ok, keep forgetting the size of the hippoSkip.

For info rather than anything else:

There’s about ten white bags.
A wooded chest full of plasterboard.
Pile of carpet tiles.
Mountain of Breeze blocks.
Left over corigated plastic from the ceiling.

Btw. I’ve got third party insurance on any vehicle. If you didn’t want to do the actually trip to the dump.
Just an idea.

The concrete blocks are earmarked for future use…

Potentially…

Could be phase 3. Phase 4…or car-proof planters…

Aha! Ok I thought they were rubbish. Good to know.

According to my last Makerspace run to the tip (admittedly a while back), they will refuse plasterboard.

Based on mine and @jacob’s epic trip last month, the big one in Croydon will take pretty much anything (plus you can take away 3 bags of free compost! BYOB). Bit of a drive though.

The Peckham one will take plasterboard.
