Mark, would this be a good time to bring those Makita thicknesser blades down for people to practice on? Two birds, one (grind)stone…

bring them down, we have a jig for the tormek to do those on , but will be no good for the scary sharp system , we will set that up so maximum blade thickness will be 2 1/2 ‘’

first session, we will sharpen the new chisels…

Cool. I’ll bring my Kirschen chisels too. Give them a first sharpening and maybe get round to finally using them!

quick update, @Dermot brought a couple of boxes in yesterday, unfortunately they sent a skew block plane rather than the router plane, this is being changed over on Tuesday so should be with us end of next week.
holding breath at the moment because the wood veritas have been using for the handles has now been banned, so their production has been setback, there is not one available in europe and i only found 1 place stocking them in usa…

on a positive not we got the lapping film and honing guide, @Jonty_Bottomley and myself had a go with a couple of chisels and I was impressed…

planning to have a session running through the use of the new sharpening system either saturday evening or sunday,

yes planning to have this as a knowledge share rather than an induction , so those that are trained in it can then pass it on to others that are interested
