Hi Mark,
Many thanks for mentioning the date. A small question, if you don’t mind. For driving - Is the space included in the Congestion Charge Zone? If yes, I may consider public transport.

Regards,
Amit

Hi Amit,

That depends on the direction you’re travelling from - Herne Hill as such is not inside the Congestion Charge Zone, afaik it starts around Elephant and Castle. The Makerspace is literally just a couple minutes walk from Herne Hill Station. Unless you need to transport something heavy and bulky to and fro the Makerspace, you really won’t need a car - but I am not a car person, so take it with a grain of salt.

Some detailed information about parking around the makerspace:

Note that the space is within the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)

Norwood Road is restricted between 07:00 and 19:00 on weekdays and Saturdays. Pay and Display (P&D) are available for 4 hours maximum.

To the North of Maker Space:

  • Milkwood Road past Sainsbury’s outside the houses is restricted between 12:00 and 14:00 on weekdays.
  • Dulwich Road is restricted between 08:30 and 17:30 (9 hours), some locations are P&D (max. stay 4 hours), and some are not.
  • Half Moon Lane is restricted between 12:00 and 14:00 (2 hours, P&D available) but parking spaces are spread out far and few between.
  • Stradella Road off Half Moon Lane, the first few spaces on either side of the road are restricted between 08:30 and 18:30 (10 hours), you can only park there for 1 hour maximum, with no P&D option. Continue further down the road and the restriction changes to 12:00 to 14:00 P&D on weekdays, unrestricted on weekends.

To the South of Maker Space:

  • Croxted Road is restricted from 12:00 to 14:00 (2 hours, P&D available) on weekdays and free all day on weekends.
  • Guernsey Grove and Hawarden Grove just off Croxted Road are the same.

Hi Mark,
Thanks a lot! That is very helpful!

Amit
