Hi!
I joined recently so just saying hey. I have been to the workshop a couple times but haven’t met many people yet.

My main interest is woodwork but I want to learn some electronics.

My current projects are making a window frame with integrated blind (to get that sweet blackout) and some planters for my rooftop.

Two questions:

  1. Any tips on getting an intro to the woodwork space so I can use some of the electric tools?
  2. Where do you buy your wood from? I’ve mostly bought plywood and OSB from builders merchants but I’m not sure where to go for nice carpentry wood

Hello again, best way is to get onto the main induction list, it’s moving quickly so shouldn’t be long before you get an Induction.

In terms of buying timber, Surrey timbers and SL Hardwoods in Croydon seem to be popular.
