Hi all,

I’m Andy and I think one of the last new members to join before the cap kicked in.

I’m keen to do some wood projects starting with something along these lines http://www.instructables.com/id/Bike-Wall-Mount/ and interested to know of any woodworking inductions coming up in the next few weeks…

I’ve also got ambitions to build a smart mirror along these lines https://goo.gl/4Tj4VD so would be interested to make contact with anyone who has experience with Rasperrry Pis

And/or just go in and someone will point you in the right direction.

Regards your smart mirror, you’ll probably be advised to go for an Arduino compatible as they’re super cheap and possibly available in the SLMS electronic supplies section. Attending electronics night on Thursday’s would probably get you a long way

Thanks Robert - really useful and will get on the induction list. Will also explore Arudino option. Totally new to electronics so Thursday electronics seems like a good place to start on that project.

I’m fairly new to electronics myself and chatting with experts is priceless. Certainly saves hours of research, even if you know what you’re looking for
