CNC milling machine offered

Thanks Chris, by Thursday or Sunday do you mean morning, afternoon or evening?

Any but not Thurs am.

Thurs. afternoon or later in the evening will generally work for me

OK, lets try late evening. Say 8pm?

That’s cool, let’s do it!

See you then.

Great! Thanks for your help!!! I can guarantee tea/beer and a life size Dalek will be present!

… but I have my own.

Oh no! @platinumnqueen22 ours isn’t even done yet!! :frowning:

Not quite, just a paint job and a few electrics to go  D=

Hi @ChrisO! We still good for 8pm tonight? Many thanks!!

Yes, just been out to the machine, checked it’s all working, so bringing the pc and cable. We’ll see what we can do.

Hi Andy, I’m stuck at home with the children as my partner is working late… keep us posted on how you go. Good luck! Hope it’s just the cable…

No worries! We will do what we can!

Hi all!

Huge thanks to @ChrisO for coming in with his PC and testing the CNC tonight !

Alas, it gave the same error messages and behaviour as ours does… and the machine is still motionless. So we have deemed the old CNC control board a piece of junk. Apparently a year in the snug was too much for it!

In the spirit of electronics night though! We then took it all apart to see if there was anything obviously wrong with it…

And there isn’t… :frowning: but hey at least we can move on…

Someone post up a suggested replacement control setup here and I will take the lead on building it… I know others have expressed interest in helping as well…

Thanks!!
