There is some limited member project storage available so that members can easily work on active projects without having to take everything home every day. However, we need a structured approach to storage otherwise it gets out of hand and uses up valuable space as well as becoming a hazard.
General:
-
All storage is only in the designated area of the Snug - there is no storage in the workshops.
-
Attach a physical storage request form to your project so that it is easily identifiable.
-
Only members may store items at the space.
-
If you’re not a member, your stuff may be removed, destroyed, or hacked at a moment’s notice.
-
Bringing in things for donation to the Space need to be approved first, see:
Donating or Lending Items
Small Items (Smaller than a Bread Bin):
- Small projects can be stored on the designated shelves, a maximum of 4 weeks at a time without prior approval, if you need longer ask for permission first by starting a new topic in #admin:storage-requests
Big Items (Bigger than a Bread Bin):
- To store big projects/items you must get permission first by starting a new topic in #admin:storage-requests - a photo helps here!
We have limited storage space! - please be respectful to other members by keeping to your storage requests timing and having 2 or less ongoing projects in storage at once.
There WILL be periodic (2x a year) storage clear outs to get rid of abandoned projects and materials with a goal to re-use / repurpose as much as possible.
