Woodshop maker buddy request

Hello woodworkers,

I am 3/4 of the way through a woodwork project at home (I did score 100% in the test but was too far down the list to get in on the most recent induction) and have done all the preparation of cutting and routing etc. I now need to glue and clamp pieces together but don’t have large clamps. Is anyone in the woodwork area this Wednesday evening or Thursday day to act as a host so that I can assemble, glue and clamp pieces together in the woodwork workshop? It’s a cot bed (for my 7 month old grandson) and the pieces are mostly curves and wave shapes that fit within almost conventional frames to make 3 of the 4 sides (the gate is complete having been made 40 years ago),

Many thanks,

Roger

Hi Roger,

I’ll be in from 1100-1800 tomorrow if that is any good?

Hi Joe,

That sounds perfect…as long as I get all the prep done. Thanks so much for letting me know. That’s so appreciated. I’ll send you another reply tonight with an update.

Do you know if there are several large clamps?

Cheers

Roger

Yes we’ve got plenty of long clamps, cheers!

Good morning Joel

I’ll be in for 11…With a little bit more to do than planned…but I can bring a drill (for the dowel holes) …and I need to make 3 x 2” straight cuts prior to glueing.. I was going to do it all at home but…

See you soon,

Roger

Hi Roger, I’ll be in a little later 1130

Perfect - gives me more time to tidy up

Hi Joel

Is there a dowel jig or something to help guide a handheld drill to drill holes at right angles to the wood rather than wonky?

Thanks
Roger
