Out of Order Tags

Out of order tags (OOO Tags) are used to indicate that a tool has a significant technical or safety issue and should not be used. This might be a missing safety guard, cracked blade, or jammed fence. It is fitted to the plug or switch of a tool to prevent it from being turned on.

For a fixed/wired-in machine:

  2. Fill it out with the date and issue.
  3. Turn the power switch to the off position.
  4. Loop the tag through the switch using the zip tie and secure it so the switch can’t be turned.
  5. Message @woodtechs straightaway to keep everyone aware of the problem.

  3. Fit the lockout box over the plug.
  4. Loop the tag through the lockout box using the zip tie and secure it so it can’t be used.
