I just wanted to let you all know that the two Wimsem Sewing Machines in the textile area are now fixed and working. Enjoy using them!
One of them is completely operational and has a spool holder (apologies if that is not the official name 
). Just a quick heads-up: it’s attached with super glue for now until we find a sturdier solution, so please handle with care.
The other machine is also working well. It doesn’t have a spool holder at the moment, but we’re considering 3D printing one or sourcing a spare part. The sewing foot may not be a universal one, but it’s functional.
A friendly reminder: please do not remove the feet from these machines and release the foot handle, as that’s what caused the earlier issues. If you need to remove the foot, make sure to lift it as well before removing it.
@Martyn_Thomas @Kiki, we should think about getting more sewing machine bulbs when convenient, as our stock is currently depleted—not urgent, but good to have on hand.
