Good morning all,

Can anyone please tell me what this material is? There was some in the scraps box which I am running some tests on and some next to the computer which I am leaving alone as I assume belongs to someone. I think I would like some - where do I get it from please? It seems to be 0.7mm thick is that right?

@lasertechs

Thank you!

Gawain

I believe it’s Kevlar, don’t throw it away it’s super hard to get and expensive. Very very strong :slight_smile: @charlesmein is working out the settings for it on the laser :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

What does SRPP stand for :)?

Self-Reinforced Polypropylene

Dang Charles, what are you building, a bat mobile???

:rofl:

Yeah its self reinforced/reinforcing polypropylene. I spent the last 4 years developing cutting + sewing + working practises for a company that owns the IP for it globally :slight_smile: It comes in a wide variety of thickness’s which can be used in a massive massive variety of applications.

And yes, a bat mobile is under development, dont tell Mi5 though :wink:

The pieces on the left panel was used to make this! A camera strap!
