Washing machine as tool for printing textiles process (and also washing hand towels) - in snug?

Yeah it could do, just trying to think of places it could fit.

Table-top one not appeal to you?

Sorry, yes it does though I don’t think there is enough worktop space for it (unless it doesn’t go into the kitchen?) Also, not sure of their capacity is large enough, which might be an issue?

Could perhaps go on a shelf near the long sink somewhere, or even a fold-out shelf if not needed all the time?

Sounds like a design challenge for you Dermot

are we using the freezer part of the fridge, cos if not we could conceivably do a stacked small fridge dishwasher? …
however i’d like to be the first to shoot down that idea as a pain in the ass to implement

I like the idea, but I don’t think we could put any drainage in there sadly. The only really sensible place would be where the dishwasher is right now, but that can’t work either.

I quite like option of a small unit mounted somewhere near the long sink. Or under it?

Using the snug for a washing machine bring up another issue… I don’t think that the floor is up for that kind of vibrating stress…

I don’t think we should be putting noisy machines in the space intended for quiet work.

I reckon it would be worth giving it a go :smirk:

If/when we develop the snug it will be decided what’s going in there. So absolutely fine/great to dream of what that might be!

will it fit in the toilet /washroom?

As @lewisss suggests… what about the toilet? we technically don’t need two sinks in there, we can all just use the accessible sink and then put the washing machine in the other corner, Plumbing/drainage all sorted.

Well…The two basins thing was the result of much debate, and probably a mile long tread somewhere.

It’s quite painful to tear out work that members have spent a lot of time and sweat over.

I still favour the mini table top machine, but then I don’t know what capacity textiles are looking for.

@textilestechs this is a discussion within your purview!

Fair point but I don’t think we can move forward with anything if we are not to alter any work that has previously be done…

Yes, there’s many examples of that.
