Kaymet is a London-based manufacturer of trays, trolleys and similar products, and have been doing so for 78 years now.
As part of the Open House Festival, you can tour their factory, which is behind Asda on the Old Kent Road.
We went along today, and Mark Brearley, the proprietor (?!) of Kaymet was giving a very entertaining and insightful talk around the factory. Well worth a visit, if you want to see a real-life factory floor making (IMHO) quite gorgeous things.
