Happy middle bit, everyone.
I’d like to do a bit of veneer splicing on the legs of an old marquetry dressing table. It’s more important to me that I match the grain than the color.
I’m thinking it’s mahogany as it’s close-grained and there are defo mahogany panels on the trunk. But then there’s a lighter wood with a similar grain in the cube pattern. Any thoughts?
Ithink its Cuban Mahogany ( the reason some of the other panels are lighter it may be down to sun bleaching ) Ihope this is of some help. Keep well . Brian D=
