I’m about to use some of these for a project and wondered if they may be useful for the clamp holes on the spoil board as can’t be pushed through…

Are they m6? The bottom panel is 18mm thick, what’s the insert height?
Anyway thanks! It’s agood idea!

Yes M6. They say 13mm, I have one in a caliper and it’s reading 12.63mm
I have spares so shall I bring some in and you can see what you think?
If you don’t need the we can use to replace those that slip out,
Thanks
good idea - shall I leave 20 somewhere around the big cnc?
There is a small box under the monitor, you can leave them there or in the cnctechs cabinet under the mini cnc in arch 1
I am trying to find some data on max hold strength in MDF. Obviously 13mm is a good amount of material but are we at risk of chewing up the board with overzealous clamp down tightening? Here’s a McMaster Carr equivalent but my understanding is the tensile strength is of the fastener itself. Perhaps we can test a couple to failure on a piece of scrap?
Now it’s a good time for any test as the sacrificial board need resurfacing and with members finally starting using it it will be replaced soon.
those connectors are i the CNC tech box under the mini CNC
What connectors?
these ones
