Here a mock up of what I am thinking
The bolts act as a clamp for the wood.
The thinner wood is designed to be replaced for different thicknesses of neck stock or could be curved for traditional routes
The bushing in the router rides in the acrylic (is a tight fit) so no chance of any slop
