@lasertechs, It will be my first time on the new laser machine and there is no more job control. 
I have a ruby account and need to use the laser tonight or tomorrow morning. What happens if I don’t remember my ruby password? Without jobcontrol I will be locked out. Any advice please?

There is Job Control on the new PC
However if you need your Ruby password reset there is a shortcut on the desktop of the laser pc to a pop-up to reset your password.

I feel like I got an error when trying to use Job Control, but I only tried for 2 minutes due to being in an extreme hurry, so let us know how you get on!

Can I log in into my ruby account from home to make my design before going to the space?
No. But you can install ruby on a windows computer
do you have a link where I can download it?
I assume it’s free? and after I download it and install it, I can log in and make my designs from home?
The design options in Ruby are very limited.
I would do the design in Inkscape, Affinity (both free) or Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
Ruby just imports the file.
The tool page provides further guidance for Inkscape + Ruby (mainly around getting the colours right)
Installing Ruby on a laptop requires the laser install file and the director’s password
