Trimming 1 or 2mm from 40x40 aluminium profile

@metaltechs hi, I need to trim a tiny amount from a 40x40 aluminium profile bar that is just too long.

How could I do this tidily in the metal room please? Will an angle grinder on a press do it? I know there is one in the space.

Also, should it be done outside or inside?

we have almost working bandsaw, will it do the trick l? @kyle

Hi Roman, I’ve never used the band saw in the metal room - will it happily just trim the end? And does it still have the blade with the giant teeth?

If you are at the space I could come down with it!

Kyle is there today, we’ve changed the blade

You could do that with the wood mitre saw

Don’t worry, with @Kyle ‘s help, we found a good solution in the metal room, with an angle grinder in a mitre frame. Thanks @Kyle !!
