Threaded Lidded Box

Given I made some thread chasers the other day, gave them a proper christening and turned a box.
I’m afraid I didn’t take any on the go photos… hopefully the description will suffice else book a workshop

Roughed down what is suspected to be boxwood, planed, then parted of the lid.
Hollowed out the lid, cut the recess to make space for proper use of the tool, and cut the female thread, then started on the base.
Cut a spigot to test for fit, then parted down to a little larger diameter than this just below to accomodate the thread, cut a recess, threaded.
Hollowed out the centre, popped the lid back on, cleaned up the top where previously there was a tapered spigot to fit into the nova chuck.
Used the thread chaser to give me nice even ridges on the top and sides of the box, used in a linear pressing motion rather than circular.
Sanded, polished, finished.
