I’m looking for wholesale textile suppliers, one that has like endless rows of fabrics but they all appear to have vanished at least in London…
As I’m new to textile, I know what I want but don’t know how to describe it nor what its called yet so its making the online shopping experience rather hit and miss. Maybe I need to fly to China LOL :X
So wondering if anyone here or your extended network might know of the last fabric cave in existence or ideas of where to find one :D?

Goldhawk Road as lots of fabric shops that are rabbit warrens for fabric, if you know what you’re after it’s great

There is a very specific fabric I’m after, its Korean Rami, its hand made and rather stiff unlike the Chinese version. Even asking the few Koreans in London I came across they don’t know either where to buy it other than in Korean…
Dalston mill fabrics has a pretty good selection
MacCulloch & Wallis in Poland Street are good and they have (or had) a good range of Japanese fabrics. That Korean fabric looks very specialised. You may have to source that from Korea.
Sorry I don’t know anywhere that would have something so specialised I’m afraid.
Ya its on my wish list to do a trip to Korean and China for that matter but its been on that list for a while now

Try the Korean Cultural Centre in The Strand - they are set up to promote Korean Culture. They ought to be able to help you with this in one way or another.
I phoned them, they was not interested to help in the least, I was actually surprised as most Koreans I’ve met have been supper friendly and nice.

They are a wholesale fabric supplier to the fashion and textiles industry for printing abs dyeing and will send you samples. They have something called Ramie. Not sure if it’s what you’re after but you could ask. They are very helpful. They may well have something else that’s suitable

There is a fabric shop in bethnal green near lidl, thats pretty large and absolutely rammed full of fabric. Could be a possibility
