Hi @woodtechs
I need to rip cut a 3m board for a project ive got planned. Is this something i can do on table saw or is it too big? If its too big, is there another way i could do it?
What are the other dimensions?
If you’re talking about a massive sheet etc 3M x 2M - I would say tracksaw would be a lot easier,
That would come with its own challenges of keeping every part supported but you could find things around the woodshop to prop it up with with the majority of it being on the multi track table
What
It’ll be approx 200mm.
I’m looking to make a set of 50x50x3000mm square staves
So that’s 3m rips of a long bit of timber? Plenty of room, and I’ve done the same. You’ll definitely need some support for the outfeed to keep them from tipping off the back ![]()
As Tom says no problem if it’s 200mm on the table saw,
Defo make sure everything is completely supported in front and behind the table saw though
Great! Now i just need a table saw induction!
