Laser compound mitre saw??
Yes. I just searched Discourse for why, and… it dates back from pre-history.
the euro toilet…
(shudder)
The ‘thing’ is a band saw. It and the mitre saw could be retrofitted for metal work. If however neither find a good home, I’ll happily take them both away (they’re not mine, I’ll just have them if no-one wants them)
Mitre saw is @dalph0’s
As our virtually virtual metal techs:
@frasco, @Barnaby_Coote do you want the band saw for metal work?
Theres already one in there.
in which case, swipe?
Where the hell were those? I looked for it for one hour when we had the space almost flooded!
Well theyre easy to find at the back wall of the snug now. I’ve cleared a path so you can get there now!
If I’m not wrong is a little bench mounted one that @Courty suggest could be hooked in the corner of one of the electronic benches, would be great for pcb or little cuts on boxes, enclosures and stuff like that… @unknowndomain do you know anything about?
We should not have any tools like this in the clean room.
Well ok, I like the idea but I was just reporting what I heard about it…
Thanks.
My 2p:
- The tool would require induction and therefore tool control, it’s already not worth it.
- It would need extraction to keep dust and unpleasant fiberglass down.
- FR4 and plastic fumes are bad for lungs
- It’s not that difficult to walk to the bandsaw, or dremels in the messy or wood workshop.
Yeah you pretty much right… I don’t think is worthed either…
Great News!!! the Fire Exit sign just got sold for £10.
