Finally finished this lamp which has been in the works for a few months, quite pleased with how its come out. I think I may experiment a bit with the shade fabric, toying with the idea of painting a stripe (probably blue to match the cable) or two, but theres no rush on that.
Wish I had taken a couple more pictures as I went along, I will definitley be documenting future makes a bit more.

Most electric things would benefit from a USB charging port
Thanks very much! Yeah I was really pleased with the fabric, it provides just enough cover to hide the bulb but you can still see the filament when its switched on.
The cable is just a 3 core fabric covered job.
Nice idea, will definitely think about adding that with future projects.
