This is 3 years old but I am wondering if we ever got a polishing motor in the end?
They would be great to use for a range of materials like metals, wood, epoxy or acrylic.
Dust collection can be done buy building and enclosure and could In theory have the shopvac attached. But generally there isn’t as much airborne dust for metal polishing because of the use of compound. Can not speak for wood or acrylic though.
I think the @metaltechs should know if we got one? I don’t think we did but the metal work area hasn’t really been much in use (I may be wrong). There are a bunch of options for buffing and polishing different materials but probably can’t all be discussed in one post/thread! Are you specifically thinking for metalwork @Julia?
Yes. Although for epoxy as well.
+1 , polishing motor would be nice.
There are few things to polish plastics with - the wax blocks, reds and blue with attachments, having something that’s made for holding the attachments(think they’re still there) would be a-mazing.
