Load of stuff on the clear table. No one working on it. I’ll leave it half an hour, then it will get snugged.
Also food left out.
yeah thats the Electronic Nonsense crate. There’s a space for it on the top of the long shelves in the snug.
I’ve also noticed the electronics bench I cleared has become a dumping ground, I am really annoyed about this, I keep spending ages on this, and people keep ripping it all up and dumping stuff all over.
Not to worry.
Stephano propelled (and did most of ) a clear up on Saturday night.
We (mainly Steph) sorted loads of the stuff up in the Electonics area and clean room.
We’ve tidied the electronics bench.
And sorted a lot of the shelving.
We’ve put labels on boxes and put things into electronic box, networking box, prototyping box blah blah.
Looks loads better now.

I haven’t seen whats done, but if shelving has been done for the Electronics area it would have been nice if it was done with the Electronics Techs as we’ve been talking about what to do in the area and this may affect that.
There’s been a huge sorting effort made during the last few days mostly by Stefano .
I have put a lot of "good stuff " from this box in the draws .

I think that pile is mid sort , junk in the forground and good stuff at the back , he came back the next day to finish.
Sorting out the boxes of junk is a relatively inporant task to get done , I would agree that a note should have been left on the pile but it was 4 am .
But on a positive note we have moved the space forward this weekend a fare way .

The electronics area and clean room is better.
But really needs someone to take ownership of it and tell us what’s going on. Especially the electronic bench and the rest of the benches on that wall.
There are boxes of stuff and piles of bits and bobs.
It needs sorting out and removing from this area.
Anything were not going to use now should be chucked out or put in the snug for storage.
There isn’t clear direction coming from the electronic techs. Without A road map from them other people are just going to get feed up and start doing things for them.
I’m going to start cleaning and planning the sewing area next.
I think in general we need another purge of stuff in the space.
Another tidy up of the snug.
Maybe a day dedicated to getting rid of stuff rather than construction is in order this weekend?
It seems like the only construction that relates to making stuff is the extraction? So freeing up space is a great idea. Every energy that goes to getting us making things is well spent.
I may have put some electronics stuff on the electronics table. My approach when I find the clear table to be messy is:
- spend 5 minutes sorting/putting stuff away.
- shove everything else into a box under the long desks.
So I may have put electronics stuff on the bench without any idea where it should go.
p.s. can we call it something other than ‘a purge’?

It’s august everyone is away, I am waiting for @Courty to come back so we can sit down and discuss a plan, as I think we need to reorganise the clean area layout a bit.
It would be good to look at this with the @electrotechs because of the above mentioned need to rejig the clean area layout.
