Steenbeck bed for Makerspace

Hello ,

I thought I’d asked in case…
I have an editing table for 16 mm film (Steenbeck bed). It is with great sadness that I have to find a new home for it. Would the Makerspace be interested to extend their activities to celluloid Film making?
I have all the material to process, edit things… I could run a few workshops
Hélène

Do you mean this: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=steenbeck&safe=off&espv=2&biw=1280&bih=678&tbm=isch&imgil=0OwQEXrqDf226M%3A%3B97xsRx2zbRnqUM%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fen.wikipedia.org%252Fwiki%252FSteenbeck&source=iu&pf=m&fir=0OwQEXrqDf226M%3A%2C97xsRx2zbRnqUM%2C_&usg=__rvxN2ZOCbuBK2un0w0BcARSGn7M%3D&ved=0ahUKEwjg3ZvkgNfJAhUI7RQKHciZAVoQyjcINA&ei=uW5sVqCdIojaU8izhtAF

If yes, I might be able to convince my university to take it, they already have one but it’s broken.

As for Makerspace, I doubt it.

A couple of the universities might be interested. Failing that, I think there might be a few film groups/collectives who might be interested. (Savefilm.org has a few London groups listed). Film archives still use them (the BFI has a list of archives). Finally, a facilities house might be interested in buying it off you as a spare, since they’re obliged to keep a few around on mothballs.
