Hi all, this comes up often…

Here is the current answer:

Is there a functional spray booth/ventilation space in the Makerspace?

The strict answer is no, we don’t have the correct facilities However - with the correct PPE (FFP3) and ventilation and protection of the gear in the washdown room small objects can be sprayed in there effectively…but we have no way of capturing paint so it effectively goes into the extraction system along with fumes

To sum up:

• We don’t have a proper spray booth
• But you can spray small stuff in the wash down booth in messy room with:

  • FFP3 Mask

  • Extraction open in the booth (in pic its closed, open it!)
    

    

  • Extraction fan on 100% (by metal area)
    

    
    

  • Don’t get paint all over the place

• You can paint outside with FFP3 mask away from the doors and don’t block vehicle access or get paint on any cars / storage containers
