the boards for the crossovers and amplifiers
the first prototypes
tuning the first working model
The Dalek with omnidirectional midrange and tweeter (sounded just wrong)
Amplification and heatsink (thanks
@joeatkin2 )
and so onto the actual build…
carcasses put together
clamping
and internal bracing
base, back and sides covered in valcromat
DALEK 2 having oak clamped to face and top
the pair nearly done ready for finishing
first one wired up and working… apologies to @emuboy totally my fault i blew up two capacitors and 5 op-amps

Looking great. Tho’ shame the omni-directional ‘UFO’ sitting on top didn’t sound right, I thought that looked super-cool.

The problem with omnis is that they are not understood well , the ones I made worked but marks didn’t.
Short of doing a lot of work and building a model it’s just dum luck building omnis , mark was trying a more ambitious profile than mine , it would be interesting to figure it out when I have a few months to spare

Wow. Beautiful.
Also good choice on the white cones, I’m looking at a pair of monitors like that now =]
