Some knitting books on the shelf + Embroidery machine was set up wrong

Hello!
I got given some books on knitting (Mostly about baby stuff and stuffed animals), I’ve put them on the shelves next to the sewing magazines. If they aren’t of interest I’ll take them to the charity shop around the corner.

Also the Embroidery machine was set-up wrong when I took it out. Someone had put a new needle in, but bent a piece back (the final thread tensioner bit AKA part 6). Doesn’t appear to be permanent damage but do we need to think about some more instructional stickers?

The machine is already full of stickers, ans the tools page covers a lot of the how-tos - and soon it will also have a Tools page QR code stuck on it.

I’ll have a look at it when i’m in on Friday - something tells me i’m going to need to lock it behind an induction if people keep damaging it.

General note to the membership:

PLEASE review the tool page and manual for any tool you are not 100% confident in the usage of. We have a lot of valuable equipment at SLMS that you would otherwise be paying hundreds or thousands of pounds to use. When you decide to take a shortcut out of laziness and damage equipment, that is a slap in the face to the people like Martyn who dedicate their time to keeping the space running.
