Social evening at the Commercial Pub - Tuesday 8th November

The second Tuesday of the month is nearly upon us once more, so we shall be decending on the Commercial again for general drinks, fun merriment and excitement. Tomorrow Tuesday 8th Nov from 7:30. Sadly I can’t make it this month, but hopefully the usual crowd of happy makers will be along!

As usual, all are welcome, new, old, inbetween, friends, partners neighbours and pets.

Maybe bring along a trinket you’ve made recently, and we can all marvel in your makerspace awesomeness.

Damn! Lasercutter induction starts at the same time!

Unfortunately I can’t make it tomorrow either so there will be no official @welcome team welcomer. But I’m sure any members there will be happy to act as host and introduce any new members who come down. Hope you all have a good night & I will make sure to plan my diary better for the next one!

Hello, I was planning to go if anyone else is. I’ve just joined and not used the space yet but looking forward to using some wood.

In my opinion better food better drinks better atmosphere and better people…

There is any particular reason why we are doing it at the commercial?

A “shake up” is an English idiom (or more likely American) meaning to make a change. i.e. Change from the Commercial to the Florence.

The reason we don’t go to the Florence is they ruined it.

The place was where we always had our meetings like this but they refurbished it and turned the entire back half into a retuarant and the front half into a noisy music bar.

It’s very hard to hear anything in there, staff are rude and unhelpful and the way they get you to pay is confusing sometimes they insist on a tab other times not.

The commercial is not ideal but I tilt he half moon returns it’s better than nothing.

We could try the prince regent that’s a very good pub.
