Below are all the glue guns (and the accompanying glue sticks) I have found in the space.

:gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun:

(This micro-audit is driven by my desire to save money no adhesives where I COULD use a sachet of expensive Loctite epoxy, OR a blob of inexpensive glue gun glue (to fill in some holes in a 3D printed piece).

Most of them are found in a bunch together above the electronics bench. There is also a place for at least 1 of them on the shelving above the messy room workbenches (opposite the CNC machines)

Glue!
There are 2 sticks of the smol size that fit the smaller glue guns, then there is athe big batch of ‘normal’ sticks and a handful of also normal sized but somewhat yellow sticks.

Smol glue guns :baby:

 All 3 have a little bit of glue in them and take the smol sized glue sticks

  1. Stanley 0-GR15 | Has a HIGH-LOW switch | Manufacturers product page | (This one is my favourite since the glue comes out in manageable blobs that dry in just about the amount of time I can hold things in place)
  2. Rolson 240V Mini Glue Gun | Has a HIGH-LOW switch | Manufacturers product page
  3. Unknown 10W Glue Gun | No switch

Phat glue guns :weight_lifting_woman:

  1. Stanley 0-GR25 Glue Gun | Has a HIGH-LOW switch | Manufacturers product page
  2. Bosch PKP 20E | No switch | Closest I could find online | (I have used this one and don’t love it since the glue just runs out of it like syrup)
  3. CK Tools T6215A | No switch | Re-seller page
  4. :point_up_2: Same as above!
  5. NO markings!
  6. Ragnaros NL-211 Glue Gun | YouTube review

What I would love is to hear from others which one’s work well for what applications. I tried glueing some packaging foam to cardboard with #5 and it was a huge pain in the butt!

For that consider using the 3D printer pen we have. It’s in a box above the Macs in the clean room. It has settings for PLA and ABS and standard 1.75mm filaments can be used - I.e. you might use the same PLA filament as the print rather than just filament sticks in the box. It works fine and could be a better option for something like that.

Nice cataloguing, @ed_o. I’ve linked to this post from the List of tools in the space because I love documentation. Hope that’s OK.
