Hello,
With a friend of mine, we’ve been working on a night lamp for my nephew that is based on a fictitious cat-shark creature (see below).
I recently attended the Bamboo
3D Printer Induction with @Lia and this is my first print. I have some questions and I was wondering if I can get some help from more experienced members of the community.
First of all, since this is night lamp, I was planning on making a whole underneath to put some light inside. I then set the sparse infill density to 0%. I am not sure about the implications of such a setting and whether this can lead to potential structural issues while printing. Having no infill will also help the light hitting all walls of the lamp.
Secondly, what is the best type of filament to use for such a project? I was wondering if we have something that is semi translucent in the space.
Finally, is the Bambu Textured PEI Plate ok for this type of project? Lia obviously mention this a million times in the induction, but I cannot remember ![]()
I am happy to share the .3mf file if someone is willing to have a look at my settings to make suggestions on how to improve it. I just don’t know what is the most common way to do this in here.
Damian
