That’s great Sabrini!
Thanks for the great job and super quick turn around.
Wow!
It would be great to meet you sometime.
I’m not around this weekend, off on a Jive Weekender!
But soon would be good!
P.S. Have you got experience with box cushions?
P.P.S haven’t forgotten about the knitting machine.
Whaaa cool! I use to Lindy hop but I haven’t danced in ages! I’m just happy to have found the place/ trying to be helpful! Let me know when you’re around and I can pop in as well.
I can try to make box cushions!
I used to have a job making box cushions
If it helps
Hi Sabrina, this looks great. I have two at home I made also I’ll bring the in this weekend.
Brilliant!
Box cushion making would be very useful for some furniture I’m designing. I can do wood, metal and plastic but fabric terrifies me - how hard is it?
its really hard!!!
ive tried a few time and its a really tricky one.
cushions are a doddle.
but well made box cushions and a real pain.
but look great if you get them right and are a real essential for furniture making!
we should look at this as a class to do in the future.
we need to discuss this!!!
i’ve never made box cushions before so not really the right person to teach it… But happy to show how the machines work!
Haha I was going to say easy! At least ones without piping are easy. Just make sure you get your measurements right before you cut. Same as anything really - be accurate, don’t rush and they will come out fine.
Yes happy to do a class in the new year
This is the kind of design I had in mind!
That’s a box cushion for sure.
An essential for any budding furniture maker or upholsterer.
And a real pain in the neck to get a quality finish on!
I’ve tried a failed a couple of times.
Zips are easy. Piping is easy. Cutting the bits out is easy. But assembling it was a really fiddle.
A bit like the big table isn’t it? Hahahha
