My company runs monthly socials and we’ve got some t-shirts we’d like to make, I was wondering if we’d be able to run a workshop at the space where we can do screen printing as an activity, perhaps supervised by a tech?
We have a budget, and this could be a good way to get some money into the space, for the t ch or the screenprinting area?
I’m not inducted yet but if I was would I be able to run this ? Or would we always want to supervise
I would imagine we’re making any screens ahead of the session. This would of course involve a large number of non fee paying individuals accessing the space for a few hours, perhaps in groups while the remainder are at birdhouse… which might go against the rules or the ethos. But just an idea
Hey Matt, in principle I’m very interested in this!
Extra cash for the area is always appreciated, but I’d like to gauge @directors opinions as I know this isn’t something the space is typically for.
Currently the new screens I picked up are technically mine rather than the spaces as I haven’t claimed for them yet, so if you wanted a screen exposing ahead of time to print elsewhere that could be another option?
Let me know, happy to have a chat about it in the space if I catch you in the near future!
Thanks for flagging! Directors are discussing what this might look like as we create guidelines for these kinds of things. Definitely new territory but sounds like this could be positive for the space as a whole! Glad we’ve got a tech onboard for the area!
