Reimagining my old shop sign

Hey folks!

Attended the main Woodwork induction yesterday, thanks @JanT :pray:t4: and I’m super inspired to get going

Oscar, I hope you see this. Please reach out so I can reimburse you.

Right, so I kept my old shop sign and I’m going to rough cut it before bringing it down to the makerspace to fine cut and finish with sanding / filing.

I’m keen to keep the letters connected, and attach through the middle to repair the centre connection. Please share any advice and tips you think may help me. It’s my first project, ever, not just at the makerspace.

Also, would we have permission to bring our own handheld jigsaw? I forgot to ask if there is a jigsaw on site.

TIA

Hi Nilly,

There a couple of jigsaws with the rest of the power tools which are included in the basic induction so feel free to use. You may want to pick up a suitable blade (Herne Hill Builders Merchants by the station should have a good range).
