Purchasing a DIY Neuroscience Kit – Pro

@BCI

Calling all members with interest in biohacking, Brain Computer Interface, Human Machine Interface!

I’m planning on buying the DIY Neuroscience Kit – Pro. See the video. The software is here.

There are none available in the UK, and no direct shipping from India, so I’m going to use a forward shipper.

Question 1: Any reason why I shouldn’t buy one of these kits (I’m a BCI noob)

Question 2: Is anyone interested in crowdfunding one for the space? They cost £74. I’ll cover the shipping cost.

Question 3: Would anyone like to order one for themselves, and contribute to the shipping?

I want to buy before 5 Jan, as they have a 15% discount until then.

I’m tempted to get one for myself to help cover the shipping - I’ll take a look to see it’ll do what I need it to!

Otherwise I could help contribute to the device cost. Where are you thinking we’d store it, and manage it’s use in the makerspace?

We probably need to assess if it needs an induction!
I think we need to design some Amazon lockers with Tool Control so that we can store the laptops, the camera equipment and this kit.

I donated a set of small electronic latches a few years ago; they should still be banging about

Looks interesting, i can put £20 on the kit.

I also get around 30 EEG electrode at home if anyone want some

Hi. Have you decided if you want your own one yet?
I can’t tell you what the final cost will be, as shipping and customs duties are a bit vague.

I’ll just contribute to this one for now, happy to put in another 20 quid, if that’s a significant enough chunk?

Also happy to assist with the locker/latch build!

I’m happy to chip in a cheeky £10 to the pot - it’d be good to do a mini hack-day or something around it so those of us who know nothing about it could maybe learn something about it!

I’m going to shelve this for now, as sourcing and getting the product to the UK has proved to be impossible.
I’m going to contact the manufacturer and see if they can assist.
