Yeah I know we have to do one hit.
You’ve said this each time we talk about it.
And you’re absolutely right.
I’m asking are we getting close to a full skip with the pile out front and the printers and anything else?
Genuine question.

Sorry! Stuck record syndrome…
I don’t think there is enough rubbish there. But we surely have a tonne of rubbish in the snug. Won’t know until we get stuck into it.
There’s still a a load of crap out the front (albeit MUCH reduced), we could probably easily fill one.
We should also have another fire at the weekend and have another exodus of scrappy wood.
I should imagine we shouldn’t be burning things as a business.
You are right but we still need to find a way of getting rid of offcuts and sawdust… Fire look like the obvious answer
Most places in London seem to use big skips
Maybe this is already been discussed but…
I noticed that among with canopy and max and the other 2 guys next to us, we produce a fair amount of waste in the estate, what about talking with them and share? Like a skip a month… Or every 2 months! Or even a perma-skip if needed!
A3 inkjet printer
While in the space today a printer in the pile to be disposed of had been taken out and being worked on.
It turned out Howard was doing some great work to bring it into use again, from the conversation with members in the space last night they indicated Joe wanted to use it for some reason or other.
I am concerned that the huge pile of stuff being thrown out has already been gone through and a fair amount been salvaged for parts which are now just sat all over the table, and that this represents more hoarding.
Please can a good reason be given as to why this printer should be kept, and proof that it actually works and will be used given. It’s sat unused since we moved here.
We put most of the useable parts in an ikea storage bin last thursday. Encoder strips, brushless and stepper motors, loads of gears, quite a few fancy chips and led displays. Also found a limit switch we could use
Its the white plastic container near the wall where the first electronics bench used to be. The rest can be binned I believe. Props to whoever sorted out the electronics corner it looks amazing
Final update on this:
All printers have been scrapped for parts and are awating disposal in the social area in half a dozen boxes.
The exception however is the HP DeskJet 1220C A3 InkJet, no one has messaged about this, please @pip @joeatkin2 @Howard could someone advise what the situation is with this, and what the intention is for its use. If there is a value to keeping it fine, but it’s still unclear.
There was a discussion but no conclusion so I didn’t raise it, thought it was going to get chucked.
Nothing was decided.
