Pressure Washer

Hey all,

Screen printing needs a new pressure washer! If anyone has one which is well functioning and up for grabs for around £30, please drop me a message

Cheers,
Pete

Not being funny but a pressure washer is essential for screen printing, and a second hand one is likely to come with more problems/leaks than solutions
Why cant we get one of these

Reliable workhorse with no fancy attachments

@directors

We can buy one, but we have had like 4 of them…

We still have 2 of them IIRC, one is in the snug, one probably in the wash room.

Do they actually both not work?
If so what is the fault with them?

And these I think are like the 3rd and 4th ones we have had, what are we doing wrong to go through so many pressure washers, I don’t think they even get used that much?

Can someone do a bit more research and testing on the ones we have…

Thanks!

One of the original pressure washers belonged to Howard which he relinquished, then I loaned one which was in perfect condition which I suppose I involuntarily relinquished, then a third one appeared, I didn’t even know we had a fourth one!

The 3rd one we bought off eBay on June 3, 2024, and was working fine, I have used it this year.

The 4th one randomly showed up outside the Space :man_shrugging:

So yeah, a bunch of them… one of these should be working or fixable?

Have we ever bought a new one?

Not to my knowledge…

2 donated ones
1 ebay one
1 found one

But they are not that complicated, I mostly want to understand what is killing them before spending more money…

I’m not certain, but I don’t feel too positive about the hot water being all we can use for the pressure washer. The hose definitely softens during use and I’ve no hard evidence to back it up but I feel like it might be what’s knackering them.

We shouldn’t be using hot water through the jet wash, there is no need for it there. They are designed for cold water only! That could be what is killing them. Pleas don’t tell me we are still using that old brass mixer tap
In the washroom?

We’re on a plastic one now thankfully, is there a way we can switch off hot water to the room or would a line need to be added?

There is already a cold feed to the old taps it just needs to be swapped over, I am back from France next week and will have a look

Cheers Mark, appreciate the help with this!

Hey Mark,

Realised I never chased up on this, would yourself or any other qualified members be able to take a look at swapping our tap in the wet room to a cold water feed?

Cheers,
Pete

All done :+1: I made use of what’s available to get them swapped, but at some point it will be nice to tidy it up properly in there. Until then, the pressure washer feed is now cold, and should stop killing the pressure washers.
