Hey @screenprinters,
The planning chest of drawers is a bit knackered and the top three drawers are having trouble sliding in and out without collapsing. You’re welcome to use the contents still but please exercise caution while we’re looking at how best to repair it!
Separately, the heater fan in our drying cabinet has gone kaput. I’ve got a replacement which is attached to the same extension cable as previously. Please face it blowing into the front of the drying cabinet with the lid propped open and a screen should dry in a similar ~15 minute period.
Any q’s, just let me know
Cheers,
Pete

Let us know if the drawers want looking at - we have lots of woodworkers who’d be happy to help with a repair.

Some help would be appreciated actually, as I’m not certain when I’ll be in next!
Me and @iNerdier had thought bracing either side of the drawers may help - do you think that might be the right line to follow? Currently the sides bow out when the top shelves are pushed in because the material is too thin. Would love to hear some opinions either way!
Cheers,
Pete

It might be a runner issue - if the sides are that thin then they should be designed to close without bowing. I’ll take a look when I’m down next

I had a look at the drawers - I think the front of the drawer bottom just needs glueing back in it’s rabbet. I will take one out this week and have a proper look. Should be an easy repair.
Oh really - strange. I had taken all of the drawers out to get access the the carcass but hadn’t noticed any loose bits on the bottom. If it’s a quick fix though, that sounds great!
