I’ve read through the first post but I couldn’t see anything about painting and fume extraction did I missed it? In the other thread I saw someone else mentioning it.
Not be n there. Add if you want it!
It’s in the Assembly area Thx Dermot
Turns out preference voting isn’t overly abundant on the tinterwebs, there’s a service I’ve found that looks nice, but would be $10. Any one find anything better / cheaper? If not, can SLM put £6.50 toward this? It’s against my nature to pay when I can feasibly do it myself, but the time that would take against how cheap this I think makes it an occasion to reach for the wallet…
@laurent_muchacho - will remove your wikipedia cut and paste if that’s OK, trying to keep the Brief brief…
Fine no problem. Didn’t thought of the preview
Ah yeah just found it was just a link - made it a link.
Could doodle be use for this?
Doesn’t do ranked voting, AFAIK.
Editing now closed, will tidy up and get the next step in action…
Sorry I didn’t make it down to make the space today, aiming to be at Woodwork tomorrow evening.
I don’t understand what preference voting does other than make the process drag out longer than it already has?
Preference voting holds the possibility of presenting a clear image of how members see the space being used, and the priority the designers should give to the various wants/needs.
However it may well not do that.
But the more members who engage in the process, the more we converge on a solution that fits us as we currently are.
That looks good, I think indeed what needs voted on is the primary use of the spaces, doubt theres not enough space for eveything. All the general aims etc are all fairly cohesive which is good.
You got a link? Other activities on there (biketools, casting etc)?
For things that end up not a priority I guess we can always review / adapt / change the situation as time goes on in response to needs.
This seems perfect, don’t think it needs to be a vote.
I’ve sent you a share link so you can edit it yourself.
Hold fire on sending it out for responses; I expect the trustees will want to check it over and add any missing activities.
Okay I see… Well we should do this in a way that avoids you from being able to select 5 for all of them… I think you can do that with the same form element @tomnewsom
Some kind of, everyone has a maximum of 15 points, and assign them as you please, type thing?
Self policing, surely? Anyone who votes 5 for everything will just cancel their own votes out.
Yeah, it’s not a zero sum game, and the points are not equivalent from item to item. It’s just to gauge the popularity of each thing.
