Hi I have a 1.2 x 1.5m sheet of acrilic plastic and need divide it up into smaller pieces (exact measurements) for secondary glazing. Can anyone help me? I either need access to a long enough straight edge to knife cut or maybe better by laser? I´m new to this material and was looking to do it at home but maybe better to bring it in?
You technically can score/snap it but i would strongly recommend the laser, it is way easier
the laser currently functioning in the space will not take a piece that big
Hi Helen, depeneding on the edge finish you are after, a bandsaw or table saw can help you take it down to smaller pieces. Laser cutting would give the best finish if the smaller bits fitted the laser bed however, you would need to be an inducted member of the space to do this or find a willing member to help.
