PC troubles

Black screen of death. Is there any hope or is it totally kaput? I can’t click on OK, the cursor doesn’t change when it’s on top of it.

Hold down the power button for 8 seconds and it’ll turn off. Then it should turn back on normally.

Thank you. I’ll try that when I get home and hope the word doc I was working on will be in recovered files somewhere!
