yeah that would be cool, lot of work, hang it from the ceiling, enough people for a solar system?

Heehee, love the Pathe link. I like the idea of the solar system! Coincidently:

This woman shows the Best way of making paper in this vid, we have all these things in MS.
Then she uses the A4 paper to cast onto an exercise ball, globally.

  1. Making the pulp. She uses a top loading washing machine to make the pulp!

These guys make paper sheets using a squeegee and fabric for texture. After the paper is dried they screen print carton patterns from the internet to them. And make cartons. lovely:

This woman makes bricks from pulp and builds furniture, it’s very cool.

Oh, they didn’t screen print the patterns! Not sure if you can screenprint onto pulp paper?

Here are my favourite papier mache makers, the Linares family from Mexico. Beautiful.

It’s a postcard I got from when I didn’t go to Mexico. This is part of The Day of the Dead celebrations and they create the same symbols on their Tree of Life.

Here’s some paper I made

I can’t find my prototype bowl now, it’s made from eggbox pulp and has a great texture.

I will be in on Weds setting pulp to moulds. I Love that recycling can happen before Lambeth do!

I moved this out of #discussion:off-topic

You’re making things; couldn’t be more on topic

Too true, it is sooo on topic! heehee. Em, does this mean that you can come along and squish paper? Can you believe that woman who makes furniture out of pulp bricks, love it!

Maybe when the girls are a bit older I’ll bring them along to a paper squishing session

oh, there is no #discussion:on-topic ! Bless me, Wow, we have to change this . Yeah, I know I’m not making things at MakerSpace. It’s pants. I don’t cope well with too busy, I actually have dark permanent circles under my lovely eyes. Am not good at swimming so never dive into things. Remember I am putting Kids Kreate to be, this is my true passion, to support kids through art. To grow well despite difficult starts. That’s why I joined MakerSpace. Thanks Tom, it couldn’t be more on topic, I love it even though it’s a bit naughty for you to say so. BTW, are you planning to put your Perspex tubes into POP Christmas table - if not, I will fight with you to do so!

ok, you have a new baby but the other 2 are not, everyone likes squishy fun! Haven’t confirmed with Chanelle yet but we plan to do this Sunday. It’d be so lovely to meet you all. Day out in Herne Hill, market, dinner at The Commercial or Florence. That is exactly what Maker Space is about! Lovely smiley things make us all happy

Do you know that Toby Sparks has a new baby girl too? How great is that. Another star for the World. Have you met Eva, his oldest child? She’s so funny, gorgeous girl.

Totally off but on topic too, Kids Kreate are now on twitter @kidskreate.

Ignore most of it, I’ve signed up to waaaaayyyy too many things, right now I have to go through 96 posts to remove everything that’s not suitable, even though I’ve only signed up to suitable things… rah rah rah!

As it’s open evening is it okay to mention paper and papier mache making in tweet and FB post? Maybe guests can do a bit after tour?

ABSOLUTELY! Good idea.

Will it be both paper making and papier mache modelling?

That’s the plan but don’t whoop it up too much!
