Orbital sander pad broke

I was using the orbital sander earlier and it felt quite wobbly. After a while the pad came off (!) , I’ve attached a photo. Apologies, I guess that I should have stopped sanding when it felt unstable, although it has felt like this for a while now so I supposed that that’s how it is. Happy to contribute to costs for replacement pad if needed.

I attached an ‘out of order’ sign on the bag. The compressed air sander on the other hand works fine in case anyone wants to do some sanding while the orbital sander is being fixed.

I meant to post about something similar earlier on in the week. People have been using undersized pads, which I suspect may have contributed to the problem.

Could someone please remove the 6mm pads from the Makita bag?

Thanks for reporting. I’ve ordered a replacement but it will be a couple of days before it arrives.
