this sounds interesting. The focus in on car parking spaces. Ideas and research around how else large open concrete areas can be used is quite cool. I’m struggling to understand what car parking urban furniture actually is though.
I’ve got some awkward family things to deal with at the moment so I’m not sure if I’ll be in London around this date, but If I am, I’ll try and pop down to the square and get involved.
@KarlS the car parking space thing is just a useful framework as I understand it: there are plenty of car parking spaces marked out in cities, and if you design something that fits neatly inside one it’s simpler to present to local authorities etc.
Looks from Eventbrite to be sold out. That can be the curse of free events though: loads of people click and most don’t turn up.
I’m heading down at 11 to see what’s going on and say hello, but can’t stay as I have the youth garden to do at 3!
