Octagonal Section Wood Stick

I’m looking to make an octagonal section stick 70mm flat-to-flat and 1000mm long.

I don’t believe I can do the internet-recommended method of table saw at 45 degrees at the space given the restrictions on table saw (correct?).

Any recommendations on achieving this in the easiest way?

I may end up CNC’ing some things into each flat, so could just mount it corner up with a jig and do it all in one go, but that’s a whole other process to get accurate on its own.

Picture for reference:

This is fairly easy to do with a handplane. There’s a handy trick to lay out the regular octagon from square stock on the end grain using a compass.

We have a jig to hold the piece at a 45 degree angle while you plane it. The jig might be too short for you but it is trivial to make a longer one.
