Nitrile cork sheets/roll

I’m going to experiment with some nitrile cork…cork mixed with rubber as I understand it…for wall covering and shelf covering…and possibly flooring.

Has anyone experience of working with it?

Best way to cut it, especially if its thick, say +10-20mm?

Sanding and smoothing it?

Sealing it?

Does cork degrade/discoulour over time?

My experience is with just natural cork, I used it to sound proof a music recording studio!
We had the bad idea to put it as finish floor, after few months was totally degraded, was crumbling in a sticky powder that almost killed some of the equipment!
I don’t know if this will apply to your material as well!
P.S.
on the wall was more or less fine, I think that just can not withstand rubbing and wear from walking!

Cool, that’s interesing.

How thick was the wall cork? Tiles?

Was it attached directly on the wall or on a kind of floating stud wall? I’m not sure that is the correct terminology for iit but I read that to make walls soundproof you have to suspend them?!

Reason I ask is my secondary purpose for using cork on walls is also to improve soundproofness.
