You then usually import this into a piece of software called a ‘‘slicer’’ which will then generate printer specific code to print out your piece.
Yes in terms of help. You would need to go through an induction with a tech or inductor, who would explain the ins and out of how to get yourself going on your projects. A few errors and fails later, you will be knocking out 3D prints like a pro!
There are usually always members around the space and it’s a very welcoming community. I can imagine there will be lots of people around happy to chat and give you advice. Also, while we are all volunteers the techs and inductors can help with more specific questions and tech support … so you’re never left to your own devices as long as you’re happy to be a part of a community.
